MUSIC INSTRUCTOR (Part-time)
Art with Heart Studio is looking for a unique individual(s) to help our organization grow! We are currently on the hunt for music instructors to join our team.
At AWHS, our goal is to help others in our community learn to love and enjoy the experience of music making. This position is ideal for a home teacher who is looking to leave behind the stress of scheduling & administrative work and focus solely on their teaching! With a waitlist of potential students building, and a new music room in the making this September, we are on the rise to becoming a music lesson hotspot!
POSITION DETAILS
- $17-$22/hour (depending on experience)
- Hours depend on candidate’s skills & availability and student enrollment
- Classes run in two sessions: Fall (Oct-Dec) and Winter/Spring (Jan-June)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching private music lessons to kids (ages 4+) and adults
- Building positive, supportive and trustful relationships with students (and their guardians, when applicable)
- Fostering the love of musical arts
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong teaching & playing skills on one or more of the following instruments:
- Guitar (preferred)
- Vocal (preferred)
- Piano (an asset)
- Ukulele (an asset)
- Other instruments such as violin, bass, harmonica, woodwinds, etc. welcome!
- Must enjoy working with musicians of all ages from kindergarten to seniors!
- Must have a passion for teaching others to love music in a fun environment!
- Personable, punctual and tidy
- Vulnerable sector check required
- First aid training is a bonus!
