Being Artfully Mindful - Friday Fun Classes!

This creative arts course is designed to introduce mindfulness into each young artist’s emotional wellness toolkit, as we explore different projects that educate and empower. Let’s tap into our big beautiful brains, our galaxy of emotions and in doing so, begin to understand ourselves and the world around us just a little bit better! 

This course has been developed by Art with Heart Studio, in collaboration with a Toronto-based Disability Consultant from University of Toronto with a background in Youth Counselling. This in-depth course will include: 

  • An Introduction to Mindfulness (Why be mindful?)
  • How to Use Mindfulness in Stressful Situations (Square Breathing, Adapting to Change)
  • Being Mindful of Yourself (increasing self awareness, learning to label thoughts, feelings, emotions)
  • Using Mindfulness to Become a More Confident YOU (concepts of ‘success,’ mastery of skill, validation – what do I do well?)
  • Using My Mindful Tools For Distress Tolerance and Emotion Regulation (wise mind, radical acceptance, growth mindset, self reflection)

Ages: 8-15
Time:
 Fridays from 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Runs: January 14th, 2022 – February 25th, 2022
Pricing:
Members: $120/session
Non-Members: $150/session
