AWHS Choir – Norfolk Musical Arts Festival Registration
This year we are offering the option for our students to participate in the Norfolk Music Arts Festival as a choir! For those who are new to the festival – the NMAF is a long standing event in which youth & amateur adult music students can perform for an experienced adjudicator and receive some feedback! It’s a fantastic learning opportunity for all music students, and a great way to make friends with other music students in our community.
The choir class is usually held on the Tuesday evening of festival week (March 2nd to 5th). All students in our music & drama programs aged 7-17 are encouraged to participate!
Song selection will be emailed to all participants by January 23rd. There will be two rehearsals, February 13th & 27th from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at Art With Heart Studio. Participants will need to practice at home, to memorize the words and learn the melody, so that they will be prepared to work as a group come mid February.
Fee to participate: $10/participant to help cover the cost of instructor time & choir registration.
