DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (Full Time - Summer)
Art with Heart Studio is looking for a unique individual to help our organization grow! POSITION DETAILS
- Temporary full time (summer position)
- $20/hour
- 35 hours/week
- Hours are flexible with hybrid work options

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Annual Campaign
- Secure program + event sponsorships
- Cultivate relationships with community members + donors
- Create and implement a marketing strategy for fundraising initiatives
- Create and execute fundraising events
- Present to the Board of Directors + Staff of Art with Heart Studio a successful and realistic fundraising plan
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all partners, sponsors and donors
- Write donor newsletters
- Conduct market research
- Research funding opportunities
- Create a fundraising summary to present at the AGM
- Work alongside the staff at Art with Heart Studio
- Write and submit grant applications on behalf of the organization
- Assist with creating budgets for grant specific projects
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience or a mix of previous work experience relevant to the job
- Demonstrated ability in securing sponsors, donors, and grants
- Demonstrated ability in planning and implementing long- and short-range development initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with management, prospects, donors, and sponsors
- Ability to conduct research, gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports and other documents to support development objectives
- Database management skills.
- Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
