Nikki Campbell-Schram : Artistic Director

Nikki Campbell-Schram is the proud owner and Artistic Director of Art with Heart.  Nikki’s passion for the arts is only equaled by her love of collaborating with young, aspiring artists. She has been teaching the arts through a variety of disciplines for many years; through the ArtsAround program in Hamilton, Cross Cultural Solutions in Ghana and Costa Rica, and most recently at Waterford Old Town Hall, Sky Phoenix Studios, Lighthouse Festival Theatre and Art with Heart.

Nikki began her journey in professional theatre as the Youth Program Coordinator at Lighthouse Festival Theatre in 2010, responsible for overseeing the direction of all youth programming. Through both Art with Heart and Lighthouse, Nikki has directed ten successful youth shows over the past 5 years. Her most recent theatre credits include ‘Legally Blonde the Musical’ at Sky Phoenix Studios in Burlington (Director) Writers Block, an Art with Heart presentation (director/playwright), and stage managing Young Company presentations of ‘Wizard of Oz,’ ‘Snow White’ and ‘Cinderella’ at Lighthouse Festival Theatre. Other past writing/directing credits include The Dress Rehearsal (2016), Imagine That! (2016), April Fools! (2015), Back to the Past (2014) and Growing (2012).

Nikki is also proud to currently hold the title of Artistic Director of Old Town Hall Kids programming in Waterford, Ontario where she teaches a variety of classes such as ‘Dress up and Drama’ for ages 4-6, and an Acting Master class for youth who are excited about further studying their craft.

As a visual artist herself, Nikki enjoys teaching many different techniques using a variety of mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolour, mixed media and pastels. But what she truly loves is to inspire creative expression in her students and continually works to maintain Art with Heart Studio as a positive space for youth (and the young at heart) in our community. A place that fosters imagination, freedom of expression and creativity in all its students, big or small. A place where each student is welcomed with open arms and a big smile. These goals are reflected in the name of the business that Nikki chose two years ago when she began; she wanted her studio to be Art with Heart.
